Festivities

Along with the delicious authentic Greek food available, there are many other activities to be enjoyed at the Greek Festival.



Live Music, Singing and Dancing

A live Greek band entertains all three days at the Hellenic Fest.
The youth of our church, the Newport Hellenic Dancers, will perform authentic Greek dances from all regions of Greece at the following times:

Friday Young Performers at 6pm
Seasoned Dancers at 8:30pm

Saturday Young Performers at 6pm
Seasoned Dancers at 7:30pm

Sunday Young Performers at 3pm
Seasoned Dancers at 5pm




Agora (Greek Market)

Take some time to stroll through the agora. There is something for everyone! The Greek marketplace, or agora, offers the best in food products and many other items related to Hellenic culture including gifts, icons, jewelry, clothing and music.


Taverna

Domestic and imported beers and wine and ouzo are served at our taverna.


Grand Raffle

A raffle will be held throughout Hellenic Fest with a drawing on Sunday (you need not be present to win). Only a small number of tickets will be sold for a cash grand prize!



Church Tours

Hellenic Fest offers visitors the chance to learn more about the Greek Orthodox church and the Orthodox faith, its history, beautiful iconography, architecture, and liturgical practices through church tours conducted by our parish priest. Tours last about a half an hour and will occur throughout the day. Times to be announced.


Kid's Corner

Various activities for the children such as face painting, games and balloon animals will be held throughout the weekend.
